You must submit your application via the RFP portal or Onboard Pro. Even if you join a practice that has a UnitedHealthcare agreement, you still need to complete the registration process before you can see patients as a networked provider. Thank you for your interest in becoming a UnitedHealthcare provider. The first step is to let us know that you would like to join our network – known as the Request to Participate (RFP). Just follow the steps below. As a reminder: flexibilities outside the network for non-participating suppliers will be lost on 30.11.2021. Please read the government guidelines at the following link to make sure you understand the impact on you or your practice: Expanding off-grid deployment | NC Medicaid (ncdhhs.gov) Unless otherwise authorized by government regulation, you must be approved through the enrollment and contract processes — and receive confirmation from us that each step is complete — before you can see patients as an approved network provider. Remember that if you receive a participation agreement from us, it does not mean that your application has been approved. To shorten the onboarding schedule, we will send you the agreement for review while your application is being reviewed.
You will receive a separate decision on your application if you have any questions about our process or if you need help, your local network contact is at your disposal. To find a contact, go to UHCprovider.com/contactus > Network Contact > Select the status > Network Management. Please return your signed agreement as soon as possible. We then have it on hand so that once your application is approved, we can set up your contract in our system. Setup can take up to four weeks. DocuSign is an easy-to-use application that speeds up the contracting process by allowing you to view and sign contracts via email – it replaces the need to print, sign and return agreements to us. You must have been approved by the enrollment process and have a countersigned agreement before you can see patients as an approved network provider. Please provide the full name, tax number and national supplier identifier (NPI) of the service provider. As soon as we receive your application for CAQH certification or approved by the state, we will send you a contract – called your participation agreement. This usually happens within 10 business days. If you have given us an email address, we will send you the contract for the DocuSign secure application. (Learn more about DocuSign below.) If not, we will send it to you by US mail. We will notify you once your agreement is fully established and you are ready to see patients as a UnitedHealthcare network provider. If you join a medical group that already has a participation agreement with UnitedHealthcare, you will not receive a contract directly. Instead, you will be added to the group agreement once your enrollment request is approved. (This can take up to three weeks after the credentials are approved.)
